The Forum, a historic Los Angeles landmark built in 1967, was purchased by the Madison Square Garden Company in 2012 with plans for a $50 million restoration effort. Located in the heart of Inglewood, the Forum has previously hosted the Los Angeles Lakers, the Los Angeles Kings, and featured artists such as Prince, Barbara Streisand, and the Jackson 5. With potential to revive the building as both an entertainment hotspot and community resource, Madison Square Garden brought TRG on board to engage local stakeholders, businesses, and community groups in imagining the future of this local landmark.
On January 15, 2014, the "Fabulous" Forum re-opened, creating the only arena-sized venue in the country dedicated to music and entertainment.
Since it’s re-opening, the Forum has hosted: the Eagles, Justin Timberlake, Paul Simon and Sting, Sam Smith, U2, Maroon 5, Stevie Wonder, Aerosmith, Steely Dan, Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Mumford & Sons, Foo Fighters, The Weeknd, and many more. It has also received several architectural awards recognizing its outstanding restoration.
