The Robert Group led the community outreach program for the Avalon/I-405 Interchange Construction project. The City of Carson and Caltrans built a new interchange at the intersection of Avalon Boulevard and Interstate 405. The project included the construction of a city collector roadway west of Avalon Boulevard, widening a portion of Avalon Boulevard northbound, reconfiguration of existing on- and off- ramps at Avalon Boulevard and construction of a new southbound on-ramp in the southeast quadrant of the interchange.
Outreach efforts included staffing an information line for the community, tracking comments and concerns for the contractor, providing construction updates to community organizations, and the development of a construction activity fact sheet.
