TRG led the community outreach and public involvement for this exciting project, stretching 32-miles from the San Fernando Valley through to Downtown Los Angeles. The LA River, long-considered more of a concrete channel than a river, has more recently become a focal point of “green” projects and revitalization plans. This project, which aimed to develop guidelines for rejuvenating the river for civic activities, has since spurred a multitude of daughter projects, all aimed at reviving areas along the river to enhance opportunities for ecological preservation and restoration, as well as recreational pursuits such as hiking, biking, and family-leisure activities.
